049-4 Wyo. Code R. §§ 4-6 - Legal Services
(a) CSE shall
have a cause of action with respect to and may initiate, join, intervene or
prosecute in any action for the establishment of paternity or support,
enforcement, or modification of support in any Title IV-D case. These actions
may be brought and maintained in the Department's own name.
(b) Attorneys contracted with or employed by
CSE represent the interest of the State of Wyoming's Title IV-D agency or
another state's Title IV-D agency and not the interest of any other party. No
attorney-client relationship exists or is created between child support
attorneys and individuals involved in any Title IV-D actions.
(c) CSE shall determine, in consultation with
the Office of the Attorney General, whether to appeal an adverse decision.
Decisions to appeal shall be based on the best interest of the State of
Wyoming.
