206-45 Wyo. Code R. §§ 45-3 - Reimbursement Calculation
(a) Districts, for
school years 2019-2020 and 2020-2021, shall be reimbursed the lesser of actual
special education expenditures or the amount reimbursed in school year
2018-2019.
(b) A district is
eligible to receive a portion of the funding appropriated in 2018 Wyoming
Session Laws chapter 137 section 6(a) if:
(i)
The district's total special education expenditures are greater than its
expenditures in the 2017-2018 school year; and
(ii) The district's out-of-district special
education expenditures are greater than its expenditures in the 2017-2018
school year.
(c) An
eligible district shall be reimbursed an amount equal to the lesser increase
identified in section 3(b) of these rules. However, if the total statewide
eligibility is greater than the amount allocated for each school year, the
reimbursement shall be reduced on a pro-rata basis.
(d) If a district's total special education
expenditures are less than the amount spent in 2017-2018, the amount of the
decrease is made available for reallocation to other districts. A district will
be eligible for a commensurate percentage of available reallocated funds when
total special education expenditures have increased from 2017-2018.
