certificate of interest
A certificate of interest, or certificate of interested parties, is a required document in some federal appellate courts, namely the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, to determine whether a judge should recuse themselves due to a conflict of interest. The document requires all participants in the suit to disclose their affiliations. Corporations may be required to report their parent company and companies that have a significant stake in the involved corporation.
