deep link

Primary tabs

A deep link is a webpage link from one website to another website that bypasses the second website’s homepage and goes straight to an internal page on the second website. According to Adjust’s Mobile Marketing Glossary, the purpose of a deep link is to send users directly to specific locations on the second website instead of sending them to the website’s homepage which allows for more efficient web-browsing. The implication of a deep link is that the owner of the second website does not get the benefit of advertising his or her website’s homepage to users who click on the deep link.
