EIR
An Environmental Impact Report (EIR) is an informational document prepared under environmental law to identify and evaluate the potentially significant environmental effects of a proposed project. It also analyzes feasible alternatives and mitigation measures. The purpose of an EIR is to inform the public and decision makers by providing factual analysis about the project's potential impacts before it is approved. These impacts may include effects on agricultural land, water supply, air quality, or risks related to natural hazards such as drought.
