industrial zoning
Industrial zoning is a land-use that refers to areas of land that only have government permission (or zoning) to be used for acts related to industrial development. The industrial acts allowed in this type of zone are typically manufacturing, warehousing, or development of raw or semi-raw materials in factories. Industrial zoning protections the public and environment by limiting pollution, noise, or other consequences of industrial development to a specific area. The type of industrial zone is determined by local municipalities/jurisdictions. The broad types of industrial zoning may include dry cleaning/laundry services, data centers, heavy or light manufacturing, self-storage, transfer stations, salvage yards, transportation depots, wholesale distribution centers, and marinas.
