Simplified Network Application Process Redesign (SNAP-R)

The Simplified Network Application Process Redesign (SNAP-R) is an online filing system administered by the U.S. Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS). SNAP-R allows companies and individuals to electronically submit and track export license applications, commodity classification requests, and simplified export declarations related to items controlled under the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

SNAP-R functions as the secure portal through which exporters provide required information to BIS when seeking authorization to export or re-export controlled items, software, or technology. To use the SNAP-R system, users must obtain a Company Identification Number (CIN) from BIS and maintain authorized user accounts under that CIN. Through SNAP-R, applicants can upload supporting documents, monitor application status, receive notifications from BIS, and communicate with licensing officers.
