(a) The Commission may obtain an injunction or other court order to prevent a violation of the provisions of -
(1) The Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended;
(2) Title II of the Energy Reorganization Act of 1974, as amended; or
(3) A regulation or order issued pursuant to those Acts.
(b) The Commission may obtain a court order for the payment of a civil penalty imposed under section 234 of the Atomic Energy Act:
(1) For violations of -
(i) Sections 53, 57, 62, 63, 81, 82, 101, 103, 104, 107, or 109 of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended:
(ii) Section 206 of the Energy Reorganization Act;
(iii) Any rule, regulation, or order issued pursuant to the sections specified in paragraph (b)(1)(i) of this section;
(iv) Any term, condition, or limitation of any license issued under the sections specified in paragraph (b)(1)(i) of this section.
(2) For any violation for which a license may be revoked under Section 186 of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended.

The following are ALL rules, proposed rules, and notices (chronologically) published in the Federal Register relating to 10 CFR Part 73 after this date.
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) published a final rule in the Federal Register on September 9, 2015, that amended its regulations to better adhere to the Office of Federal Register's (OFR) guidance for formatting authority citations. In addition, the final rule corrected typographical errors and made other non-substantive corrections to the NRC's authority citations. The final rule contained incorrect punctuation and spacing, one incorrect reference, and omitted two references. This document makes additional corrections to NRC's authority citations.
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is proposing to amend its regulations that would implement its authority under Section 161A of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (AEA), to permit NRC licensees and certificate holders to apply for preemption authority and enhanced weapons authority, and conduct associated firearms background checks. The NRC proposed new regulations on February 3, 2011, that would implement its authority under Section 161A. On January 10, 2013, the NRC proposed to further revise the regulations to include at-reactor independent spent fuel storage installations (ISFSI) as a class of designated facilities. The NRC is now proposing to further revise the proposed rule language that addresses the voluntary application for enhanced weapons authority, preemption authority, and the mandatory firearms background checks under Section 161A.
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is requesting comments on a draft regulatory basis to support a rulemaking that would amend its regulations by adopting new cyber security requirements for certain nuclear fuel cycle facility (FCF) licensees in order to address safety and security consequences of concern. Potentially affected licensees include certain FCFs authorized to possess Category I, II, or III quantities of special nuclear material and uranium hexafluoride conversion and deconversion facilities.
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is making available a regulatory basis document to support a rulemaking potentially amending its regulations concerning the security of special nuclear material. The NRC is not seeking public comments on this document.
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is announcing the withdrawal, without prejudice to a future filing, of a petition for rulemaking (PRM), PRM-73-16, filed with the Commission by the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI or the petitioner) on January 25, 2013. The petitioner requested that the Commission amend its regulations to limit the scope of third-party review of licensee decisions denying or revoking an employee's unescorted access at licensee facilities. The petitioner sought to ensure that such decisions could not be overturned by any third party. By letter dated January 22, 2015, the petitioner withdrew its PRM.
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is confirming the effective date of January 28, 2015, for the direct final rule that was published in the Federal Register on September 30, 2014, which amended the NRC's regulations by removing the Safeguards Information—Modified Handling (SGI-M) designation for certain security-related information. The NRC is also announcing the availability of implementation guidance for the direct final rule, and correcting the “Compatibility Table for Direct Final Rule” appearing in Section V, “Compatibility of Agreement State Regulations,” of the direct final rule.
