6 AAC 25.033 - Relationships between election officials and candidates
(a) A familial
relationship may not exist between a candidate and an election official
appointed under
AS
15.10.120,
15.10.125,
15.10.140,
15.10.180;
AS
15.20.045,
15.20.190; or
6
AAC 25.030(e) in a primary, general,
special primary, or special election if the candidate's name appears on the
ballot for the precinct or absentee voting site in which the election official
is serving. A familial relationship includes
(1) mother, mother-in-law,
stepmother;
(2) father,
father-in-law, stepfather;
(3)
sister, sister-in-law, stepsister;
(4) brother, brother-in-law,
stepbrother;
(5) spouse;
or
(6) person sharing the same
living quarters.
(b) If
the election supervisor knows or learns that a familial relationship exists
between a candidate and an election official, the election official will be
notified and replaced.
