034.00.01 Ark. Code R. § 002 - Amendment to CZDC Master Plan for the Governor's Mansion Area
EMERGENCY AMENDMENT TO CZDC MASTER PLAN FOR THE GOVERNOR'S MANSION AREA
Due to the passage of Act 1798 of 2001 by the 83"* General Assembly of the State of Arkansas, which expanded the boundaries of the Governor's Mansion Area of the Capitol Zoning District, and the urgent need for zoning regulations in the Governor's Mansion Area that will cease to be regulated by the City of Little Rock and become the responsibility of the Capitol Zoning District Commission on August 13,2001; and the imminent peril to the public health, safety and welfare posed by the absence of land use and building regulations and the unpermitted work that could occur, the Capitol Zoning District Commission adopts the following emergency rule for insertion in Appendix A: Mansion Area Maps, as M-1 A:
"The Capitol Zoning Expanded Area map labeled M-1 A shall become effective on August 13, 2001 and shall govern any new uses of land in the area defined on the attached map until permanent zoning regulations can be adopted according to the Arkansas Administrative Procedures Act. Existing Capitol Zoning District regulations for properties in the Governor's Mansion Area shall apply to properties in the expanded area."
Adopted by the Capitol Zoning District Commission on July 26, 2001
FINANCIAL AND FISCAL IMPACT STATEMENT
Emergency Amendment to CZDC Master Plan
For the Governor's Mansion Area

It is not possible to know who will apply for permits nor the cost, if any, that an individual property owner will incur in complying with the new rules.
Nor will there be any major cost differences for the Capitol Zoning District Commission in administering the new rules.
