Fla. Admin. Code Ann. R. 64B7-32.005 - Minimum Standards for Colonics Irrigation Training Programs

(1) Board approved massage therapy schools shall submit documentation of any colonic irrigation training program to be offered to the board for approval. A training program in colonic irrigation shall include all required hours listed below, completed at a rate of no more than 6 hours per day and no more than 30 hours per calendar week:

Theory, anatomy, physiology, pathology of the colon and digestive system and principles of colon hygiene.	50
Clinical practicum, including procedure, history, clinical records, indications and contra-indication, and 20 treatments.	45
Sterilization techniques and equipment training.	5

(2) The program instructor must be a licensed massage therapist who is certified in colonic irrigation.

(3) A Board approved massage therapy school must receive approval prior to offering colonic irrigation training.
