Fla. Admin. Code Ann. R. 65E-20.012 - Admission to a Forensic Facility
(1) Forensic facilities shall admit forensic
clients who are:
(a) Assigned and scheduled
for admission by the appropriate Forensic Admissions Office; and
(b) Accompanied by an Order of Commitment and
other documentation, as specified in Florida Rules of Criminal Procedure 3.212
and 3.217, which shall be used by facility staff in making their initial
evaluation and in instituting appropriate treatment
quickly.
(2) Facility
staff shall review the accompanying documentation for completeness.
(3) In any case where a client who is not
assigned to a particular facility and scheduled for admission arrives at a
facility, facility staff shall notify the Forensic Admissions Office and the
Facility Administrator to determine available options.
(4) A physical examination shall be conducted
on the day of arrival of the client at a forensic facility. Any apparently
recent injuries noted shall be reported to the administrator of the county jail
sending the forensic client. Photographs of injuries shall be taken as
evidence.
