Fla. Admin. Code Ann. R. 6A-14.0541 - Student Fee Refunds
Each community college board of trustees shall establish a rule for the refund of tuition, out-of-state fees, and other fees assessed pursuant to Rule 6A-14.054, F.A.C. Such rule shall include the following:
(1) A one
hundred percent (100%) refund of tuition, out-of-state fees, and other fees
when official drop notification is received and approved prior to the end of
the college's published drop/add period.
(2) Criteria for refunds when a student drops
a course due to circumstances determined by the college to be exceptional and
beyond the control of the student which may include but not be limited to
serious illness, death, involuntary call to active military duty, or other
emergency circumstance or extraordinary situations identified by college
rule.
(3) Exceptions to the hundred
percent (100%) refund provision in subsection (1) shall be made pursuant to
federal rules for prorated refunds.
(4) Notwithstanding the provisions of
subsection 6A-14.076(3),
F.A.C., refunds made pursuant to subsections (2) and (3) shall not affect the
calculation of full-time equivalent students.
