Haw. Code R. § 15-185-28 - Closing and reopening the waiting list
(a) The corporation
may suspend the acceptance of applications and close the waiting list, in whole
or in part, when it is determined that there are enough applicants on the
waiting list to fill anticipated openings for the next twenty-four
months.
(b) The corporation may
publicly announce any closure and reopening of the application taking process
pursuant to section 15-185-4. If the list is opened for only a limited time,
the opening announcement shall include the closing date and not require further
notice. Publicly announce may include, but is not limited to, publishing
notices in a newspaper of general circulation and minority newspapers or
notifying social service organizations.
(c) During periods when the waiting list is
closed, the corporation is not required to maintain a list of persons to when
application taking is reopened.
