Haw. Code R. § 17-2031-21 - Applications
(a) A family seeking to participate in the
program shall submit a completed pre-application form prepared by the
authority. The applicant is permitted to file a pre-application on the
authority's application portal, or through reasonable accommodation in person,
by mail, or at any of the authority's section 8 applications offices for any
and all waiting list areas prescribed in section 17-2031-26.
(b) The initial pre-application review shall
not require an interview. Only applicants who are determined eligible in the
initial review shall be placed on the waiting list. A final eligibility review
shall be conducted when the applicant reaches the top of the waiting
list.
(c) An applicant who has
misrepresented material information in a pre-application, application, or other
inquiry for any of the authority's programs shall not be eligible to file an
application with the authority for twelve months from the date of written
notification from the authority.
