Ill. Admin. Code tit. 32, § 351.530 - Energy Compensation Source (ECS)
a) The licensee may use an ECS that is
contained within a logging tool, or other tool components only if the ECS
contains quantities of licensed material not exceeding 3.7 MBq (100
microCi).
b) For well logging
applications with a surface casing for protecting fresh water aquifers, use of
the ECS is only subject to the requirements of Sections
351.350,
351.370, and
351.390.
c) For well logging applications without a
surface casing for protecting fresh water aquifers, use of the ECS is subject
to the requirements of Sections
351.150, 351.350, 351.370,
351.390, 351.510, and 351.770.
