Iowa Admin. Code r. 875-72.22 - Alarm bell
An automatic passenger elevator shall be provided with an alarm bell that is activated by a switch marked "ALARM" located in or adjacent to the car operating panel. The alarm bell shall be audible inside the car and outside the hoistway.
