Iowa Code r. 191-3.8 - Telephone, video, or electronic proceedings
(1) The presiding officer may resolve
preliminary procedural motions by telephone conference, videoconference or
other electronic means in which all parties have been afforded notice and an
opportunity to participate.
(2) The
presiding officer may, on the officer's own motion or as requested by a party,
order hearings or argument to be held by telephone conference, videoconference
or other electronic means in which all parties have an opportunity to
participate. Any party may call witnesses by telephone conference,
videoconference or other electronic means with 14 days' advance notice to all
parties and the presiding officer. Failure of a party to make timely disclosure
may result in the disallowance of testimony by telephone conference,
videoconference or other electronic means.
