Iowa Code r. 875-176.1 - Scope and purpose

This chapter applies to professional kickboxing contests. The labor commissioner finds that professional kickboxing is a contest within the scope of Iowa Code chapter 90A. Until a promoter ensures compliance with this chapter, a professional kickboxing contest shall not be licensed by the labor commissioner.

The labor commissioner shall have final decision-making authority concerning the enforcement, implementation, and interpretation of the rules in this chapter, including those adopted by reference.

This chapter does not apply to any professional boxing, professional wrestling or amateur kickboxing events.
