Iowa Code r. 875-65.3 - Board officers

The board shall elect a chairperson, vice chairperson, and secretary from its membership at the first meeting after July 1 of each year. Neither the director nor the director's designee may serve as chairperson. The chairperson presides at meetings, appoints members and chairpersons of committees, and performs all duties and exercises all powers of the chairperson. The vice chairperson, in the absence or incapacity of the chairperson, performs all duties and exercises all powers of the chairperson.
