La. Admin. Code tit. 46, § XLI-749 - Designated Race
A. Before the
opening day of a race meeting the executive director and the stewards shall
designate the added money or guaranteed stakes races or related qualifying
trial races, subject to ratification by the commission, at the race meeting in
which a jockey will be permitted to compete, notwithstanding the fact that the
jockey is under suspension for 10 days or less for a riding infraction at the
time the designated race is to be run.
B. Official rulings for riding infractions of
10 days or less must state:
"...The term of this suspension does not prohibit participation in designated races."
C. The stewards shall post a listing of the
designated races in the jockeys' room, racing office and any other place
determined to be appropriate by the stewards.
D. A suspended jockey must be named at the
time of entry to participate in any designated race.
E. A day in which a jockey participated in
one designated race while on suspension does not count as a suspension
day.
