02- 658 C.M.R. ch. 104, § 6 - LIMITED TANK INSTALLER
1. In order to
qualify for a limited tank installer's license, an applicant must hold and
maintain either a manufactured housing mechanic's license or a manufactured
housing dealer's license issued pursuant to 10 MRSA Chapter 951 or be a
manufactured housing dealer employee who has satisfactorily completed a
training program that includes at least four (4) hours on installation of
outside oil tanks, as approved by the Board .
2. Applications for a limited tank
installer's license as set forth in
32 MRSA
§18140 must be submitted on forms
provided by the Board , together with evidence of satisfactory completion of a
training program approved by the Board and must be accompanied by the fees
established by the Director.
3. The
training program approved by the Board is valid for one (1) year from
successful completion. If an applicant fails to apply for a license within one
(1) year from completion of a training program approved by the Board , the
applicant must retake the training program.
4. Experience gained as a limited tank
installer cannot be used to satisfy the prerequisite needed to obtain a master
or journeyman oil technician's license.
