24 Miss. Code. R. 1-9.1.3 - FINGERPRINT
A. Each potential employee and potential
volunteer shall be fingerprinted by the Department of Mental Health.
B. All employees and volunteers working with
children shall be fingerprinted. No potential employee and/or potential
volunteer who has a criminal history of conviction or pending indictment of a
crime, whether a misdemeanor or felony, that bears upon an individual's fitness
to have responsibility for the safety and well-being of children as specified
in Section 45-31-12(5) of the Mississippi Code shall be employed or approved as
a volunteer in a program that serves children.
C. Employees being considered for promotion
and others in sensitive positions as deemed necessary by the program directors
shall also be fingerprinted.
