38 Miss. Code. R. § 4-7.2 - Disclosure of Certain Information, Reports, and Records; Mississippi Public Records Act of 1983
A. The Treasurer
may disclose statistical information gathered from confidential information,
provided that no such information is attributable to any one
claimant.
B. Confidential
information, obtained as required for proper administration of the Act or this
regulation, may be disclosed to:
1. Any
employee of the Treasurer whose official duties involve unclaimed
property;
2. The State Auditor, or
his duly authorized agent, in connection with any audit of the Treasurer;
or
3. The Office of the Attorney
General for its use in providing counsel relating to unclaimed property
administration or in preparation for any proceeding involving unclaimed
property before any agency or board of this state or before any grand jury or
any state or federal court.
C. Nothing in these rules shall be construed
to prevent the disclosure of information in accordance with the Mississippi
Public Records Act of 1983.
