INTRODUCTION
Districts are encouraged to promote continuous improvement in
academic achievement and technical skill attainment. State Board Policy Rule
84.18 outlines the state procedure for
disputes that may arise between a local education agency and the Office of
Career and Technical Education (OCTAE) in relation to student performance data
as required by the Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the
21st Century Act (Perkins V). The policy provides a
dispute resolution procedure for local school districts who aggrieve student
performance data housed in the District Summary Reports received annually prior
to state Perkins V reporting.
