N.J. Admin. Code § 13:62-2.11 - Accident reports and impounding of certain vehicles
(a) Accidents
involving injury or death must be reported to the office of the Superintendent,
by telephone, no later than the first business day following the
accident.
(b) Such a report must be
followed within 48 hours by a complete written report of the
accident.
(c) Any vehicle which is
involved in a crash resulting in serious or fatal injuries to a driver or
spectators thereof shall be impounded by the licensee and detained until such
time as an inspection of the vehicle may be made by a representative of the
Superintendent.
