Ohio Admin. Code 3745-81-44 - Ground water rule - treatment technique violations for ground water systems
(A) A ground water
system with a significant deficiency is in violation of the treatment technique
requirement if the system does not comply with the corrective action
requirements and schedule established under rule
3745-81-61 of the Administrative
Code.
(B) Unless the director
invalidates a fecal indicator-positive
an E. coli positive ground water source sample in
accordance with paragraph (D) of rule
3745-81-42 of the Administrative
Code, a ground water system is in violation of the treatment technique
requirement if the system does not comply with the corrective action
requirements and schedule established under rule
3745-81-61 of the Administrative
Code.
(C) A ground water system
subject to paragraph (A)(2) of rule
3745-81-43 of the Administrative
Code that fails to maintain at least 4-log treatment of viruses (using
inactivation, removal, or a director -approved combination of 4-log virus
inactivation and removal) before or at the first customer for a ground water
source is in violation of the treatment technique requirement if the failure is
not corrected within four hours of determining the system is not maintaining at
least 4-log treatment of viruses before or at the first customer.
(D) A ground water system must give public
notification in accordance with paragraph (C)(1)(a) of rule
3745-81-32 of the Administrative
Code for the treatment technique violations specified in paragraphs (A) to (C)
of this rule.
