(A) Fire
and emergency services instructor,
and live fire
instructor courses,
and fire safety inspector instructor courses, as set forth in
rules
rule
4765-24-15 and 4765-24-16 of the
Administrative Code, shall be provided under the auspices of a chartered
program and shall be taught by an
a fire and emergency services instructor
II trainer appointed by the program director in
accordance with this rule.
(B) The
program director shall ensure that the fire
and
emergency services instructor
II trainer meets all of the following:
(1) Holds a current
and valid fire instructor certificate
to teach as a fire and emergency services instructor
II, that is in good standing, issued under Chapter
4765-18 or 4765-21-03 of the Administrative Code;
(2)
Has held a valid
certificate to teach as a fire and emergency services instructor II, that is in
good standing, for at least three years; or
(2)(3) Has at least three
years of other educational experience that
includes demonstrable ability in teaching, developing lesson plans and course
materials, managing classroom resources, and managing and evaluating
students;
(3)(4) Demonstrates
effective oral and written communication skills;
(5)
Any additional
program director requirements; and
(4)(6)
Has completed an instructor trainer orientation by the
program director.
(C) The program director shall ensure that
the live fire instructor
instructor trainer meets
all of the
following:
prerequisite requirements as set forth in the "Live Fire
Training- Operations Level Course."
(1)
Holds current and
valid firefighter II, fire and emergency services instructor II, and live fire
instructor certificates, that are in good standing, issued under rules
4765-20-02 and
4765-21-03 of the Administrative
Code;
(2)
Has held a live fire instructor certification for at
least three years; and
(3)
Any additional program director requirements.
(D) The program director shall
ensure that the fire safety inspector instructor trainer meets all of the
following:
(1) Holds a valid fire safety
inspector instructor certificate, that is in good standing, issued under rule
4765-21-03 of the Administrative Code;
(2) Has at least three years of
educational experience that includes demonstrable ability in teaching,
developing lesson plans and course materials, managing classroom resources, and
managing and evaluating students;
(3) Demonstrates effective oral and
written communication skills; and
(4) Has completed an instructor
trainer orientation.
(E)(D) The program
director assumes responsibility to select and maintain instructor trainers
based upon documented evaluation of acceptable performance review.
(F)(E)
The program director who is also an instructor trainer shall have documented
evaluation of acceptable performance review conducted by the program director's
supervisor.
(G)(F) The chartered
program shall notify the division, in writing, whenever there is any change in
instructor trainers.
(H)(G) The chartered
program shall maintain written or electronic documentation of compliance with
this rule.
