Or. Admin. Code § 340-053-0050 - Purpose and Policy
(1) Purpose.
OAR 340-053-0050 to
340-053-0110 prescribes
requirements for the permitting of graywater reuse and disposal systems. The
purpose of this division is to protect public health, safety and welfare;
public water supplies; and waters of the state.
(2) Policy. It is the policy of the
Environmental Quality Commission to encourage the use of graywater for
beneficial purposes not requiring potable water because it reduces demand on
drinking water sources and may conserve groundwater and stream flows by
reducing withdrawal.
