55 Pa. Code § 41.71 - Answers generally
(a) An
answer to a pleading is not required.
(b) Answers to legal documents, if permitted
or required by this chapter, must be filed with the Bureau within 20 days after
the date of service of the legal document, unless either of the following
occurs:
(1) A different period is
specifically required in this chapter.
(2) For cause, the Bureau with or without
motion prescribes a different time, but in no case may an answer be required in
less than 10 days after the date of service.
(c) Answers must be in writing and conform to
the requirements of this chapter. Answers must admit or deny in detail each
material fact asserted in the legal document answered and state clearly and
concisely the facts and law relied upon.
(d) Subsections (a)-(c) supersede 1 Pa. Code
§35.35 (relating to answers to complaints and petitions).
