26 Tex. Admin. Code § 747.2104 - What specific activities must I include in a written activity plan?
(a) You must include these daily activities
in your written activity plan:
(1) A minimum
of two daily opportunities for outdoor play, weather permitting, in which a
child makes use of both small and large muscles;
(2) A balance of active and quiet play that
incorporates group and individual activities both indoors and outdoors;
(3) Child-initiated activities
where:
(A) The equipment, materials, and
supplies are within reach of the child; and
(B) The child chooses the activity on the
child's own initiative;
(4) Caregiver-initiated activities that the
caregiver directs or chooses, at least two of which must promote movement;
(5) Regular meal and snack times
as specified in Subchapter Q of this Chapter (relating to Nutrition and Food
Service); and
(6) Supervised
naptimes or rest times.
(b) Your written activity plan must also
include the approximate times that each child may engage in outdoor play and
moderate to vigorous active play, as provided in Figure 26 TAC §
747.2104(b).
(c) Children in your care
must be able to engage in outdoor and active play for the times provided in
subsection (b) of this section if your home:
(1) Has more than one caregiver; or
(2) Only cares for one age range
of children described in subsection (b)(1) and (b)(2) of this section. For
example, if your home does not care for an infant birth through 12 months of
age, you must allow the children in your care to engage in outdoor play for 60
total minutes.
(d) If
your home only has one caregiver and cares for more than one age range of
children described in subsection (b)(1) and(b)(2) of this section, children in
care must engage in outdoor and active play for the time required for the
younger age group.
