Utah Admin. Code R277-407-16 - Distribution of Legislative Funds for School Fees
(1) When
funds are appropriated by the Legislature for school fees, the Superintendent
shall determine LEA allocations by the April 30 prior to distributing the funds
as described in Subsection (2) and using prior year average daily
membership.
(2) The Superintendent
shall distribute available funds to LEAs with students enrolled in grades 7-12,
proportionately based on an LEA's number of students in the applicable grades,
weighting each student in grade 7 or 8 at .99 and each student in grade 9, 10,
11, or 12 at 1.2.
(3) For funds
appropriated by the Legislature during the 2024 Legislative General Session,
the Superintendent shall distribute the following to LEAs in operation with
enrolled students before July 1, 2025:
(a) 50%
of the funds to LEAs for the fiscal year beginning on July 1, 2025;
(b) 30% of the funds to LEAs for the fiscal
year beginning on July 1, 2026; and
(c) 20% of the funds to LEAs for the fiscal
year beginning on July 1, 2027.
