Utah Admin. Code R402-2-7 - Conflict of Interest
(1) Each voting
member of the council shall be responsible for declaring a conflict of interest
when one exists. A conflict of interest may include any matter that may provide
direct personal financial benefit for that member.
(2) When a conflict of interest exists, the
member shall refrain from the voting process.
(3) If a council member is aware of another
council member's undeclared conflict of interest, the council member may ask
the council member with the conflict of interest to refrain from voting on the
issue in question.
(4) In the event
of a disagreement over whether a conflict of interest exists, the members of
the participating meeting shall decide the matter by a simple majority
vote.
