Utah Admin. Code R410-14-13 - Continuances or Further Hearings
(1) The
hearing officer, on the officer's own motion or at the request of a party
showing good cause, may:
(a) continue the
hearing to another time or place; or
(b) order a further hearing.
(2) If the hearing officer
determines that additional evidence is necessary for the proper determination
of the case, the officer may:
(a) continue
the hearing to a later date and order the parties to produce additional
evidence; or
(b) close the hearing
and hold the record open to receive additional documentary evidence.
(3) The hearing officer shall
provide to all parties any evidence that he receives and each party has the
opportunity to rebut that evidence.
(4) The hearing officer shall provide written
notice of the time and place of a continued or further hearing, except when the
officer orders a continuance during a hearing and all parties receive oral
notice.
