Utah Admin. Code R432-103-10 - Occupational Therapy
(1) The licensee
shall ensure that occupational therapy services include the assessment and
treatment of occupational performance to include:
(a) independent living skills;
(b) prevocational or work skills;
(c) educational skills;
(d) leisure abilities; and
(e) social skills;
(2) The licensee shall ensure that
occupational therapy services include the assessment and treatment of
performance components, to include:
(a)
neuromuscular;
(b)
sensori-integrative;
(c)
cognitive;
(d) psychosocial
skills;
(e) therapeutic
interventions, adaptations, and prevention; and
(f) individualized evaluations of past and
current performance, based on observations of individual or group tasks,
standardized tests, record review, interviews, or activity histories.
(2) The licensee shall ensure that
staff who provide occupational therapy services document and monitor the extent
to which goals are met regarding assessing and increasing patient functional
abilities in daily living and preventing further disability.
