Utah Admin. Code R432-103-13 - Emergency Services
(1) The licensee
shall have the ability to provide emergency first aid treatment to patients,
staff, visitors, and to people who may be unaware of or unable to immediately
reach services in other facilities.
(2) The licensee shall provide:
(a) a treatment room;
(b) storage for supplies and
equipment;
(c) provisions for
reception and control of patients;
(d) convenient patient toilet room;
(e) communication hookup; and
(f) access to a poison control
center.
(3) The licensee
shall comply with appropriate sections of Rule R432-100 if providing any
additional or expanded emergency services.
(4) The licensee shall provide protocols for
contacting local emergency medical services.
