Utah Admin. Code R432-4-1 - Authority and Purpose
(1) This rule is
authorized by Section
26B-2-202.
(2) The purpose of this rule is to promote
the health and welfare of individuals receiving services by establishing design
and construction requirements for the following types of health care
facilities:
(a) abortion clinics;
(b) birthing centers;
(c) critical access hospitals;
(d) end stage renal disease
facilities;
(e) freestanding
ambulatory surgical centers;
(f)
general hospitals;
(g) inpatient
hospitals;
(h) nursing care
facilities;
(i) rural emergency
hospitals.
(j) small health care
facilities; and
(k) specialty
hospitals.

This rule is adopted pursuant to Title 26 Chapter 21 for General Hospitals; Specialty Hospitals; Ambulatory Surgical Facilities; Nursing Care Facilities; Inpatient Hospices; Birthing Centers; Abortion Clinics; End Stage Renal Disease Facilities; and Small Health Care Facilities.
