Utah Admin. Code R432-40-2 - Definitions
As used in this rule:
(1) "Long-term care facility" means a nursing
care facility, small health care facility, assisted living type I and type II,
intermediate care facility for the intellectually disabled, and a swing bed
unit of a general acute hospital.
(2) "Pneumococcal vaccination'' means use of
Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) recommended vaccines to
prevent pneumococcal disease, including pneumococcal conjugate vaccines PCV 13,
PCV15, or PCV20, or the 23-valent pneumococcal polysaccharide vaccine (PPSV23)
administered per the ACIP recommendations.
(3) "Resident" means anyone admitted to a
long-term care facility.
(4)
"Current Reporting Period" means from October 1 of the previous year to March
31 of the reporting year.
(5)
"Current Influenza Season" means from September of the previous year, or sooner
if available, through March of the reporting year.
