Utah Admin. Code R432-500-11 - Contracts and Agreements
(1) The
licensee shall secure and update contracts for services not provided directly
by the facility.
(2) The licensee
shall ensure that each contract includes a statement that the contractor will
conform to the standards required by this rule.
(3) The licensee shall maintain hospital
admitting privileges for each staff member, or a written transfer agreement
with one or more full-service licensed hospitals located within an overall
travel time of 15 minutes or less from the facility. The transfer agreement
shall include:
(a) transfer of information
needed for proper care and treatment of the patient transferred; and
(b) security and accountability of the
personal effects belonging to the patient being transferred.
