Utah Admin. Code R432-6-107 - Signal System
(1) A signal system
is required for the following facilities:
(a)
a large facility;
(b) a facility
with bedrooms on more than one floor; and
(c) when staff are not continuously present
on the same level as any resident.
(2) The signal system shall be designed to:
(a) operate from each resident's living unit,
and from each bathroom or toilet room;
(b) transmit a visual or auditory signal or
both to a centrally staffed location, or produce an auditory signal at the
living unit loud enough to summon staff;
(c) the signal system shall be designed to
turn off only at the resident calling station; and
(d) identify the location of the resident
summoning help.
