Utah Admin. Code R432-750-26 - Report of Death
(1) The licensee
shall have a written plan to follow when a patient dies that includes:
(a) an authorization and release of the body
to the funeral home;
(b)
documentation of the death;
(c) the
notification of the attending physician responsible for signing the death
certificate;
(d) the notification
of the next of kin or legal guardian; and
(e) the recording the time of
death.
(2) The licensee
shall notify the OL of any death resulting from injury, accident, or other
possible unnatural cause.
