Utah Admin. Code R432-750-37 - Housekeeping Services
(1) The licensee
shall provide housekeeping services to maintain a clean, sanitary, and
healthful environment.
(2) If the
licensee contracts for housekeeping services with an outside entity, the
licensee shall obtain a signed and dated agreement that details the services
provided.
(3)
(a) The licensee shall provide safe and
secure storage of cleaners and chemicals.
(b) The licensee shall lock chemicals in a
secure area to prevent unauthorized access or potential access by children or
disoriented patients.
(4)
Personnel engaged in housekeeping or laundry services may not be concurrently
engaged in food service or patient care.
(5) The licensee shall establish and
implement policies and procedures to govern the transition of housekeeping
personnel to food service or direct patient care duties.
