Utah Admin. Code R657-11-14 - Use of Dogs
(1) Dogs may be
used to take furbearers only from one-half hour before sunrise to one-half hour
after sunset and only during the prescribed open seasons.
(2) The owner and handler of dogs used to
take or pursue a furbearer must have a valid, current furbearer license in
possession while engaged in taking furbearers.
(3) When dogs are used in the pursuit of
furbearers, the licensed hunter intending to take the furbearer must be present
when the dogs are released and must continuously participate in the hunt
thereafter until the hunt is completed.
