Utah Admin. Code R657-20-14 - Raptors Injured Due to Falconer Trapping Efforts
(1) Falconers that injure a raptor during
trapping efforts are responsible for the costs of care and rehabilitation of
the injured raptor.
(2) An injured
raptor retained by the permittee must be placed on the permittee's falconry
permit.
(3) The injured raptor must
be treated by a veterinarian or a permitted wildlife rehabilitator.
(4) The injured raptor must be immediately
transported to a veterinarian, a permitted wildlife rehabilitator, or an
appropriate wildlife agency employee.
(5) The injured raptor will not count against
the permittee's allowed take or the permittee's possession limit.
