Utah Admin. Code R714-110-5 - Processing of Application
A. The division
may issue a permit if the motor vehicle is safe to operate and if any of the
following conditions are met:
(1) The
applicant shows proof satisfactory to the division of a medical disability
which requires the removal, addition, or modification of a motor vehicle
part.
(2) The applicant is
temporarily unable to obtain a motor vehicle part for reasons beyond the
applicant's control.
(3) The
applicant is the head of a law enforcement agency and removal, addition, or
modification of a motor vehicle part is necessary for a legitimate law
enforcement purpose.
B.
The permit issued will be on a form provided by the division.
C. The permit may specify conditions under
which the permit is granted including times and places the motor vehicle may be
driven, duration of the permit, and any other conditions which the division
considers appropriate to protect the safety of highway users or efficient
movement of traffic.
