Wash. Admin. Code § 296-806-47002 - Follow these requirements for machine initiation
(1) You must make sure all of the following
occur before starting machines:
(a) Select
"normal" operation mode.
(b)
Safeguards are in place and functioning.
(c) No workers are within the hazard
zones.
(d) Other proper work
practices are followed.
(2) You must make sure in the "jog mode," the
machine function is initiated by the operator either:
(a) During set-up;
or
(b) By
threading the material through the forming rolls.
(3) Make sure only assigned test employees
perform machine testing and start-up.
