Wash. Admin. Code § 415-105-080 - Notice of denial of benefits and right to appeal
(1) The board must immediately notify the
applicant if the board:
(a) Denies disability
leave or retirement; or
(b) Cancels
a previously granted disability leave or retirement.
(2) The board must advise the applicant of
his or her right to appeal the board's decision to the director of the
department of retirement systems pursuant to
RCW
41.26.200.
(3) Notification and advice must be in
writing and served by personal service or mail unless the applicant or the
applicant's authorized representative attends the meeting and is advised in
person of the board's decision and the applicant's right to appeal.
