Any one of the following alternative or supplemental systems may be added to a pool if an automated disinfection system is in place and on line to maintain the disinfectant or sanitizer residuals pursuant to s. ATCP 76.14 Table A. Pf
(1) CHLORINE GENERATORS.
(a)
NSF 50. Chlorine
generators, including salt systems, shall be certified and installed to NSF 50
and manufacturer instructions.

(b)
Disinfectant system on
line. An additional disinfection system shall remain on line and able
to automatically provide the capacity to superchlorinate the water and maintain
the required sanitizer residual.

(2) OZONE GENERATORS.
(a)
Maximum concentration.
Ozone generators shall provide a concentration of ozone in the return line to
the pool not to exceed 0.1 mg/L.

(b)
Electrically
interlocked. The ozone generator shall be electrically interlocked
with the recirculation pump to prevent the feeding of ozone when the
recirculation pump is not operating. A flow sensor controller may also be used
to turn off the feeder when flow is interrupted.

(c)
Maximum ambient ozone
level. Off-gassing of ozone may not result in ozone levels in the
equipment room or pool area exceeding 0.1 ppm.

(3) ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT. Ultraviolet light
units shall be certified to NSF 50, and tested and approved for use in water
disinfection systems and installed pursuant to NSF 50 requirements.

(4) OTHER TECHNOLOGIES. Other technologies
that inactivate or kill pathogens shall be certified and installed pursuant to
NSF 50, manufacturer instructions, and have an EPA registration number, if
applicable.
