010-3 Wyo. Code R. §§ 3-74 - Tagging Food Products, "Wyoming Retained"
(a) Any food
product suspected of being adulterated or in any way unfit for human food may
be tagged with a "Wyoming Retain" tag by the regulatory authority.
(i) The regulatory authority shall:
(A) Record the tag number; and
(B) The kind and amount of the food product
retained.
(ii) The
retain tag shall:
(A) Accompany the food
product to the room in which it is retained for final inspection; and
(B) Not be removed except under the following
condition:
(I) When the final inspection is
made, if the food product is an inspected meat product the disposition shall be
determined by the regulatory authority.
(iii) The regulatory authority shall make a
complete record of the transaction.
(iv) If, upon final inspection, the food
product is passed for food, the regulatory authority shall remove the retain
tag and record the transaction.
(b) No meat food product which does not meet
the requirements of the Federal Meat Inspection Act, the Poultry Products
Inspection Act, or 9 CFR 300 to End, may be prepared or sold.
(i) Any meat food product found to violate
subsection (b) may be tagged with a "Wyoming Retain" tag by the regulatory
authority;
(ii) The retained
product shall not be sold or disposed of until an investigation is performed by
the regulatory authority; and
(iii)
The "Wyoming Retain" tag shall only be removed by the regulatory
authority.
