6 U.S. Code § 234 - Preservation of Transportation Security Administration as a distinct entity
Notwithstanding any other provision of this chapter, the Transportation Security Administration shall be maintained as a distinct entity within the Department.
This chapter, referred to in text, was in the original “this Act”, meaning Pub. L. 107–296, Nov. 25, 2002, 116 Stat. 2135, known as the Homeland Security Act of 2002, which is classified principally to this chapter. A prior section 234, Pub. L. 107–296, title IV, § 424, Nov. 25, 2002, 116 Stat. 2185, provided for the preservation of the Transportation Security Administration as a distinct entity applicable until 2 years after Nov. 25, 2002, prior to repeal by Pub. L. 114–125, title VIII, § 802(g)(1)(B)(iv)(I), Feb. 24, 2016, 130 Stat. 212.
